A Night to Myself: Instagram Style

Good morning. How’s everyone doing out there today? I have a really busy day ahead of me, but it should be a good one.

I started off the morning at 5 am and went out for a two mile run. The weather was cool, but already really humid. I’m glad I got the run over with this morning; the high in my area is 96 today! When I got home from the run, I did part of a Jillian Michael’s DVD with weights. I liked the combo of running and doing a DVD. I feel well-rounded :)

Tonight I’m going to see Ted and I’m definitely excited. I’m not sure if I’m more excited for the comedy or for Mark Wahlberg (heehee).

A Night to Myself

Last night, I thought I had dinner plans with a friend, but I forgot we rescheduled for the weekend. I ended up with a surprise night off! Score! Even though I love going out, suddenly having time to myself to do whatever I want is such a great feeling. I think it’s the “only child” that comes out in me sometimes. I totally need “me” time.

I had a really nice night and decided to document it with Instagram. Instagram is an app for Android phones and iPhones that lets you take pictures and add different filters to them. The pictures look like they were taken by a photographer with cool lenses, but it’s just on your phone. I love it!

I’ve been dying to bake, so I decided to make chocolate chip cookies.

Yum! I used the classic Nestle Toll House recipe on the back of the bag.

I actually managed to eat only ONE cookie the whole night. A new record, I’m sure! I did have my fill of dough off though ;)

I put my multi-tasking skills to work and decided to bake some sweet potato fries too. The oven was already on anyway.

Mmm!

Even with all the baking, I managed to do a load of laundry as well!

Then it was finally time to relax. I plopped my butt down on the couch to read some blogs and play around on Facebook :)

I brought a bunch of the cookies in to work today and will put them out after lunch. I know I always need a little chocolate fix in the afternoon!

Have a wonderful day!

Seen any good movies lately?

Do you like “me” time too?
