Happy Friday!!! Today is my “off” Friday from work. Teeny actually let me sleep in until 7 this morning, so that was nice. I was really hoping for 8, but oh well. :) My original plan for today was to hit up the beach, but Mother Nature did not let that happen. It’s cloudy and drizzly outside. So not fair.
I try to make the best of every situation though, so I decided to fit in a workout: Jillian Michaels’ Yoga Meltdown, again. I love that DVD. Downward Dog kills my shoulders every time. I love knowing that they’re getting stronger though!
Teeny did not want me to do Yoga.
Yeah, she kept totally taking over my mat. Oi.
I went out and ran some errands and did some cleaning around the house. By Noon I was starving for lunch, so I made a big, awesome salad. My Uncle Mike donated one of his GIANT zucchinis to me. Look at this thing!
My salad was spinach, zucchini (obviously!), tomatoes, green peppers and smoked salmon. I love smoked salmon. Also, I used Trader Joe’s Lite Champagne Vinaigrette, which is delicious. You should definitely buy some if you’re near a Trader Joe’s!
Yes, this salad is on my coffee table. I was trying to use the natural sunlight from my window. :)
Before I ran my errands this morning, I watched some of the Today show. They’re filming live from London for the next two weeks to cover the Olympics. I don’t know about you, but I’m not totally crazy excited about the Olympics. I do like watching the gymnastics event though because those athletes are amazing. My body will never be able to do what they can do! Haha!
4 years ago I did watch some of Michael Phelps’ competitions because of all of the hype. Wow- he is incredible! I heard the coolest tidbit about him on Today: if he wins three more medals, any color, he will be the most decorated Olympian of all time. Isn’t that crazy?? Not the most decorated swimmer, but the most decorated Olympian of all time. Holy. Moly.
Like he needs three more, right??
Go Team USA!!!
Well, I’m off to run more errands! So happy for my 3 day weekend! See geeky self-taken picture below.
Are you excited for the Olympics? I do think being there live would be wicked cool.
